Cinco de Mayo Festival:
Hosted annually the first Saturday in May at the Festival Grounds on Main Street
May 5, 2012
The festival kicks off at 11am at the festival grounds on Main Street. We start off the day with children games, soccer and basketball tournaments. Food vendors offer authentic Latin and American Cuisine. Music and demonstrations of salsa making and salsa dancing are featured. A Mariachi Band will perform in the afternoon and the evening is reserved for dancing accompanied by an authentic Hispanic Orchestra. Fun for the whole family!
Fall Festival:
Hosted annually the third Sunday in September at the Festival Grounds on Main Street
September 16, 2012, 1 pm until 6 pm
Hay rides, pumpkin races on the river, bon fires, music, presentations, food, and much more.

June 8-10, 2012
Presents 35+ events in four days including: Little League and softball tournaments, stockcar races, 2 and 5 mile road runs, a dance, volleyball tournaments, gymnastics & martial arts demonstrations, duck races, kids shows, steak feed, Beowulf Summer Party, teen dance, talent show, Fireworks and of course the Canoe Race from Calamine to Darlington on the Pecatonica River. It also includes arts & crafts fair, chicken barbeque, carnival, a parade, and much more!

Midway thrills, 4-H and FFA exhibits and judging, demonstrations, grandstand shows, tractor pull, demolition derby, food and fun, and much more.

Tunes at Twilight
Hosted annually each Sunday night in July at the Festival Grounds

Relax by the riverside and enjoy this evening concert series. Bring a lawn chair. Concessions available.

Christmas Parade & Festival
Hosted annually the first Saturday in December
December 2, 2012
Lighted Christmas Parade on Main Street ending with a visit from Santa in his Candy striped tent on the banks of the River. Christmas carols, hot chocolate, bonfires, and lighting of the famous floating Christmas Trees. Fun for the whole family!

Hosted annually in April, this remake of American Idol features local musicians at their best.
Halloween Festivities
October 28, 2012 beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Children of all ages (and children at heart) dress up in their favorite costumes for a police escorted parade up Main Street to the Municipal Building. The parade begins at Casey's General Store at 2:30 p.m. This is followed by a two hour party in the Municipal Building Gym with games, food, fun, and prizes from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Trick-or-Treating Hours are from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on October 31st.
