No, we do not. However, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, located across the street, can help you.

Do you handle driver’s license applications?
No, we do not. However, the Department of Transportation holds regular hours at the Lafayette County Highway Department on the second Wednesdays of Feb., April, June, Aug., Oct., and Dec. from 7:45am -4:30pm.

Can we pay a fine here?
The only fines accepted here are for Darlington parking violations. All others must be paid at the Courthouse or the Sheriff’s Department across the street.

May we get a copy of a Police report here?
Yes, under certain circumstances, you may. Simply ask to meet with an Officer to learn more.

May I visit a prisoner here?
No. The jail is a part of the Lafayette County Law Enforcement Center across the street. Inmates are housed there, not here.

Do you provide 24 hour Police protection?
Yes, we do. Officers are on duty all day, every day, and are prepared to assist you with anything.
