Support your Veterans Today!

Pictured Here are members of the American Legion and the Darlington Community dedicating the site of the future Darlington Area Veteran's Memorial on Memorial Day, 2010.  The beautiful memorial (which can be seen in part in the painting behind the veterans pictured above) will be a long overdue tribute to those men and women in Darlington who served our nation in the armed forces.  The memorial will stand, most appropriately, in Veteran's Memorial Park on Main Street (directly in front of Erickson's Funeral Home).  The exact cost of this magnificent undertaking is yet to be determined but is estimated to be around $225,000.  With the support of donors, organizers hope to have the monument constructed by the end of 2013.

Your Legionnaires need your help! If you know the correct spellings of names to be included on the memorial, please mail them to Darlington Area Veteran's Memorial, P.O. Box 37, Darlington, WI 53530.  If you would like to make a donation of any amount, please mail it to the same address.

Pledges sought:  Pledge cards can be acquired by clicking here for those who would like to pledge a certain amount of money over a three year period of time.  If 450 families each pledged $500 over a three-year period, the memorial will be completed.
